 Great song. What I've noticed is that from Power, Corruption... on, their proper albums usually have a more introspective or cathartic closer. Face Up, Every Little Counts, dream attack, avalanche, run wild. I hope Peter and Barney can work out their disagreements, I really enjoyed Siren's Call and hope they can put out more. As you say, Ian, without Hooky it just ain't New Order.

 This is why I like Ian: He always seem to come up with poignant song choices like this. This song is so achingly melancholy; moreso because the singer never looses his dignity, reveals the angst behind his simple statement. The music does that for him. In a later song off Technique, Bernie said something like "I have strong emotions but they are too important to show them to someone I don't trust." Leave Me Alone embodies that sentiment.
